Learning about I-pads

Today in Bishop Class we had a visit from James who is our amazing cyber smart and i-pad usage teacher.

James came in and taught us all how to use our crab claws to hold the i-pad with both hands, to place the i-pads carefully onto the tables and how to safely pass them to each other.

We also got to learn how to airplay our i-pad screen from our i-pads to the smart board so we can see what each other has been working on.

Reiko and Alyssa were our amazing helpers and demonstrators to the class.

Thank you James for coming in to teach us so many new skills today and we are looking forward to practicing all our new skills we have learnt and sharing them.

  1. Salut Bishop Class,
It seems like you were having a ton of fun with Mr Hopkins. I see you have learnt how to hold i-pads. Always be careful and make sure they never drop. In Henderson Class we learned how to hold Chromebooks. Have you seen our class blog? Be sure to check it out : Please leave us a helpful, thoughtful, positive comment.

    Kind Regards,
    Shreya (Room 6)

  2. Kia ora Bishop Class,
My name is Tania and I am a Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitator like James, but I live in Whangarei - a couple of hours north of where you live in Auckland. How exciting that you have iPads in your class and you are learning how to use them smartly! Being able to connect to your big screen with AirPlay with be a great way to share your learning with everyone. I can see your demonstrators Reiko and Alyssa are doing a great job of showing a crab hold with the iPads. Have you learnt how to take photos with the iPads yet?
